Effective

These terms are the agreement between you and Headshot Lab when you use our website or service. By joining the waitlist or using Headshot Lab, you agree to them. Please also read our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle your information.

Before launch

Headshot Lab is not open yet. Joining the waitlist is free and doesn't commit you to buy anything. The launch discount shown when you join (50% off the package you chose) is reserved for the email address you used and applies to your first order. We'll tell you how long it's valid when we launch. Features, packages and prices may change before launch.

Who can use Headshot Lab

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding agreement. If you use Headshot Lab on behalf of a company, you confirm you're allowed to accept these terms for it.

Your photos

  • Only upload photos of yourself. You may not upload photos of other people, of anyone under 18, or of anyone without their permission.
  • You must own the photos you upload or have the right to use them.
  • You keep ownership of your photos. You give us permission to use them only to create, check, retouch and deliver your headshots, as described in our Privacy Policy.

Your headshots

Once you've paid, the headshots we create for you are yours to use, personally or commercially: LinkedIn, your website, speaker bios, press kits, email signatures and anywhere else. We won't use your headshots in our marketing without your permission.

Some laws don't treat AI-generated images the same way as photographs for copyright purposes. We give you every right we have in your headshots, but we can't promise that copyright protection applies to them.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use Headshot Lab to:

  • impersonate anyone or create images meant to deceive, such as fake identity documents;
  • create sexual, violent, hateful or harassing images;
  • break any law or infringe anyone else's rights;
  • interfere with, overload or attempt to break into the service.

We may refuse an order, remove content or close an account that breaks these rules.

Payments, retouches and refunds

  • Packages are one-time payments. There's no subscription.
  • Each package includes the number of retouches listed on our pricing page.
  • If none of your headshots work for you, contact us at hello@headshotlab.com within 30 days of your order and we'll refund you in full.
  • Payments are processed by our payment provider, under its own terms.

About AI results

Headshot Lab uses AI to create images. We check every headshot against your selfies and drop the ones that don't match, but results vary with the photos you provide, and some headshots may not look exactly right. That's what retouches and our refund guarantee are for.

Our service

Headshot Lab, including our website, software, designs and brand, belongs to us. You may not copy, resell or reverse engineer the service. We may change, pause or discontinue features at any time. If we discontinue the service after you've paid for an order we haven't delivered, we'll refund that order.

Disclaimers

Except as these terms expressly say, Headshot Lab is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Headshot Lab won't be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits or data. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you.

Ending your use

You can stop using Headshot Lab at any time and ask us to delete your account and data. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms. Sections that by their nature should survive, such as ownership, disclaimers and limitation of liability, continue after your use ends.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We'll change the date at the top, and for significant changes we'll email you before they take effect. Continuing to use Headshot Lab after that means you accept the new terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Nothing here takes away rights you have under the consumer protection laws where you live.
